Partita Executive
Partita is a new vision for the working habitat designed by Faruk Malhan. The theme aims to bring nature into the work zone by reviewing the generic idea of an “operational program”. The steel legs in a normal proposition are replaced by wood legs that are structurally strengthened with their X shape, thus presenting an archaic form.
All the tabletops are presented in plywood instead of chipboard, which provides a chance to touch and feel a natural material on all edges. This feature enables the simplification of the production processes by eliminating edge-banding and having a more sustainable top material without chemical glues and PVC edging materials.
This novel approach creates a “high touch” atmosphere in the office area as opposed to “high tech” feeling of the steel furniture of the past decade. There are soft textile drapes used as mini-screens in Partita workstations for supporting sound isolation. These panels can also be used as pin boards.
The access to all electrical outlets is very easily provided by the sliding desktop mechanism, where all power and data outlets are practically reached. The simple and natural look of the design is integrated with the use of technology. Alternative power docks can be placed on shelves around the work area, where anyone can easily charge their mobiles and even connect to a sound system if they wish to use iTunes etc
Transparency is one of the essential values presented by Partita for the work areas. The storage program is designed with the same X construction, this time acting as the spine to hold panels and boxes hanging in the air.
This solution is aiming to replace the classical box of a cabinet that consumes the whole volume. Within this solution the program offers multifunctional products ranging from study tables to serving boards, bookshelves to TV units and cupboards, which can be combined in various ways.
Partita is designed for an emerging size for the new businesses with a smaller number of highly skilled employees. The design may be convenient for office units with 25 to 100 employees and a low hierarchy level.
It can be employed in several layout approaches such as the open office, group office and reversible office plans. It is aimed for offices with predominantly dissolved room structures. Zoning in the design can be provided through light fabric-feel screens in proximity to storage above and below the desk level.
The configurations may incorporate open working and meeting zones in a single cluster with seating and lounging possibilities encouraging to team up for quick and spontaneous meetings. The design minimizes introverted and concentrated individual work. However, privacy can be provided by the use of light screens or storage spaces.
The ‘co-creation’ theme, which lies beneath the design of the Partita collection as well as Koleksiyon’s other designs in the %100 Design Fair, is derived from the ideas that shape the work culture and habitat of the new century. When defining its new themes, Koleksiyon counts on its significant contract power which provides sound hints of the emerging needs and demands of its customers. The ‘co-creation’ theme is oriented around the human factor, which is increasingly becoming the ultimate competitive advantage of organizations in today’s world. The theme is also set to encourage the collective work of different stakeholders in the creation of the work environment, from the designers to architects and suppliers to future occupants.
All Partita products are produced in a healthy and safe production facility with maximum care for the environment and they can easily be dismantled at the end of their product life cycle, to be recycled separately and efficiently. Koleksiyon adopts efficiency, safety and recyclability in the uttermost level in all of its production stages from the design process to production and, closely assesses the whole life cycle of all its products with maximum responsibility towards its environment, customers and employees.
